SANTA BAHÍA STOCK

At Santa Bahia we produce an authentic home-made stock from fish that is caught in the Santa Pola Bay, so that you can cook the most traditional seafood paella at home or in your restaurant.

We want you to enjoy a delicious fish stock that will transport you to the Mediterranean coast, from wherever you are. With its unique aromas and flavours.

In keeping with tradition, we manually select the fish to prepare this stock and it is cooked following the original recipe of fishermen from Santa Pola Bay.

"When the origin marks your character and you feel proud of your roots only amazing things can happen".

Santa Bahía was created from the passion that a person from Santa Pola had of their land. Being demanding, quality and tradition are the pillars we use to make known the flavour of the Mediterranean diet to the rest of the world.

THE STOCK

Savour Santa Pola from wherever you are. Allow the aromas and flavours to transport you to the coast, to the breeze of the waves and the touch of the sand.

Without additives. Without preservatives Only tried and tested ingredients.

Santa Bahía is a fish stock that was created on the deck of a ship. A cooking pot over a slow heat, choosing the tastiest ingredients… only in this way is the seafood paella of the Bay, the ‘Fideua’ or the famous ‘arroz a la banda’ prepared.

LA BAHÍA

"All due to being proud of our land and sea"

IT’S IMPOSSIBLE FOR IT TO BE EASIER!

HOW DO I PREPARE MY TRADITIONAL SEAFOOD PAELLA?

The secret of a good paella is the stock, from there the rest is a piece of cake.

In less than 30 minutes you can enjoy a paella in the purest fisherman’s style.

1. Add 150 ml / 5 fl.Oz of olive oil in a paella saucepan of 42 cm / 16,5’’ Diameter.

2. When the oil is hot, fry some slices of red pepper and then remove them and keep them apart.

3. Now fry some pieces of squid, wordfish, prawns… in the same oil. Once the fish is golden brown, put them aside and keep them apart.

4. Pour the fish stock Santa Bahia tin in the paella saucepan.

5. Refill the tin twice with water and add the water to the paella saucepan.

6. Set heat to high, when it comes to the boil, add 450 gr / 15,8 Oz of rice.

7. After 3 minutes, reduce heat to medium. We advise you to taste the recipe and more salt can be added if it is necessary. Now you can add all the ingredients you have kept apart (squid, swordfish, prawns, red pepper…) and boil everything for 12 minutes.

8. Now lower the heat to simmer and cover the paella saucepan for 5 minutes.

9. Turn off the heat and let the rice settle for 5 minutes without taking the lid off.

10. Serve hot and enjoy.
